Yet America was the strong point for the PS1 and PS2...don't you see... the PS3 just isn't selling nearly as well as those two consoles. North America IS the biggest market segment in the world so it is an extremely important territory for any console to do well in.
I agree with you though about just enjoying your games. I have a PS3 and a 360 and basically I like what I like and sales will never change that.

Forza wins. Forza 3 is taking things to a whole new level. GT5P looks nowhere near as good as Forza 3. One day if GT5 ever comes out maybe we can compare it too.
It's always a matter of degree. It isn't either that you are a fanboy or you are not a fanboy, it is 'how much of a fanboy are you'. It's also about how sensible or fair you are.
At one extreme you have people that are so radical that they will only own one console and all the others are deemed to be crap in every way.

But this article doesn't mean Sony is doomed and I don't see virtually any 360 fan saying that it is. I think the thing is that PS3 fans take any negative PS3 article as a Sony is doomed article, as if nothing about Sony can ever be questioned or criticized. It's absurd.
I agree, the PS3 is well worth the cost. That's why I bought my 80gb model with backwards compatibility. Of course, some people can't afford it and so they will have to wait for a price drop.
If you want what the PS3 offers though, it is a great deal.
Well, considering that they have closed a huge number of the repair centers and laid off a bunch of people working on that end of things, I would have to say that the RROD is no longer such an issue. Nobody I know that has got a 360 in the past 6 months has had any problems.
I would take Halo 3 over Killzone 2 anyday. Killzone 2 is decent, but it gets pretty boring to me after a short time of playing it. I play it in short bursts.
Another lame comparison. Wii Sports and Halo 3 appeal to a completely different market. What Wii Sports does in the casual market has nothing to do with what Halo 3 does in the core gaming market. Halo 3 is a direct competitor to games like COD4, Killzone 2, Resistance, etc. and it is doing well for one reason only: it is a extremely well made shooter that is fun as hell to play.
Noobs? Puhlease. I own and have played all the big shooters on consoles and PC and I could probably kick your @ss at every one of them. Halo 3 is selling so well because people know it is a good game. People don't keep playing a game just because it was marketed well a few years ago when it came out. Quit making lame excuses.
The fact that Halo Wars is outselling Killzone 2 is enough to blow a hole in the theory that the 360 has no good exclusives this year. The ps3 has had one more highly rated exclusive so far than the 360, big deal.
The 360 has had MORE exclusives. Including games like Ninja Blade, Star Ocean and Velvet Assassin. Even if you think some of those are kind of average, they are going to appeal to some segment of the 360 base and are therefore valuable.

Yeah, and this looks better than GT5P, hands down.
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is the one that looks kind of flat and less detailed to me. Forza 3 looks beautiful, with sharp graphics, detailed cars and environments and smooth 60FPS. Notice how flat the textures are in GT5P on everything except the cars. Forza 3 looks more detailed and realistic to me.
Obviously some of you have never even played Forza before. The physics in Forza are a lot more realistic than in Gran Turismo.
To the guy that posted the link to that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue video, can you be serious? That game doesn't look nearly as good as the Forza 3 video. Also, I don't know how some of you can like the 2-dimensional trees and spectator cutouts in Gran Turismo. At least Forza 3 has 3-dimensional side track detail.

All I can say is that you are missing out on one of the best games ever.
A lot of animations in Uncharted look jerky to me. Pretty good overall but definitely not the best. I agree that Assassin's Creed looks much smoother and more realistic. Look at the way Altair or Ezio climb or pivot when they turn and then look at the way drake does it in Uncharted. Assassin's Creed transitions more smoothly and naturally. Alan Wake's are decent.
You do that. Go back to playing your AAA PS3 exclusives. I'll just keep playing the good exclusives on all consoles, of which there are more on the 360.
Why do you act like the PS3 is the only one that has good games? The 360 has far more games and nearly double the amount of AAA exclusives in its library.
The 360 has 20 games that scored 90 or better, while the PS3 has only 12.
